Kurt and Sintia have lived in the Cold Lake area for over 16 years. They came to the area
due to work, and found it to be a great place to live and raise their two daughters. Kurt
has been an IT Co-ordinator in several different school divisions and is still an avid
hockey player during the cold winters playing net for his recreational team as well as
filling in where needed. Sintia was a high school math teacher before staying home to
raise the girls. Once the girls began school, Sintia became the children’s pastor at Cold
Lake Community Church and has been in this role for over 13 years.
Within the first two years of attending Cold Lake Community Church, they attended an
Ancient Paths seminar. This sparked a fire, and over the next several years attended
other Family Foundation seminars offered. They discovered true healing from challenges
in their lives, and found the journey refreshing as they also had the privilege of seeing
the Lord heal those in their small groups. The Marriage Covenant weekend was a life
changing seminar that greatly affected their two daughters. Not only did this reassure
them that Kurt and Sintia were committed to one another for life while the girls were
exposed to divorce of their friend’s parents, it helped the girls understand what marriage
truly was about. Kurt and Sintia have now been married for over 30 years and have
gained an amazing son-in-law during this time.
Once exposed to Family Foundations, they soon pursued the process of becoming
facilitators and just recently were released as coordinators. They are excited to begin
their new journey as coordinators, and look forward to seeing people encounter Christ
through the Holy Spirit, being healed in the process.
